We are the product of Miami’s upbringing.

Founded in 2014, Theodoric Design is more than a plant shop. We’re an experience. Our existence is the product of Miami’s upbringing. 

Born into a tropical ecosystem mixed with a Caribbean lifestyle, we speak passion, we live in color, and hear the sounds of horns and percussion each day. Each package we ship from our online marketplace contains this same spirit. Above all, we bring a sense of Miami life with each design we create. 

We believe that plants are transformative.

In a world full of distractions, plants keep us grounded. Much like we do, plants need care. They remind us how we must tend to ourselves and to others. They warm and enliven our spaces, allowing us to connect with the natural world in our everyday experience.

Plants enrich our lives and we believe that this should be accessible to all.

About the creator 

A nature enthusiast with a wanderlust spirit.

Derrek Roncek was born in South Florida, spending his childhood frequenting Miami to be with family and friends.  

Graduating with a B.S. in Communications and marketing and continuing onto higher education toward a Masters Degree in Landscape Architecture both at Florida International University. He finds inspiration through where he calls home, Miami, a passion for art and design, and an astrological disposition being a Leo, seeking aesthetic perfection. 

His mission is to express whats going on inside his head, outwardly through design, functionality and flamboyancy.
